About the Commodity Program

The Commodty Program provides USDA foods through the Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR). United Tribes's Commodity Program services Brown and Doniphan counties in Kansas and Richardson County in Nebraska.

You may be eligible for commodity foods if:

• You are under the income guidelines, are enrolled in a federally recognized tribe, and are not receiving SNAP (formerly food stamps).
• You reside within the boundaries of the Iowa Tribe of Kansas and Nebraska Reservation or Sac & Fox Nation Reservation (even if you are not an enrolled member of any tribe or are receiving SNAP).

Our program prides itself on being geared towards healthy eating. Our selections have increased throughout the years to include the following items:

• Meat*: frozen chicken breast, frozen turkey breasts, frozen ground beef, and frozen beef roasts
• Fresh Produce*: onions, red potatoes, red onions, romaine lettuce, cauliflower, broccoli, tomatoes, corn on the cob, radishes, baby carrots, mixed vegetables, sweet potatoes, turnips, cabbage, Brussels sprouts, Red Delicious apples, Golden Delicious apples, Granny Smith apples, Gala apples, grapefruit, oranges, pears, mixed fruit, peaches, nectarines, plums, cherries, and grapes
